We are very excited to announce that our SERC Director, Professor Tom Lowrie, was recently awarded a Mathematics Education Research Group of Australasia (MERGA) lifetime membership.
Tom received the award for his significant contributions to mathematics education research during his career. His research is now internationally renowned among many leading academics and teachers.
The lifetime membership award was presented to Tom by MERGA President, Professor Katie Makar (pictured), at the recent 2024 MERGA conference at the Gold Coast.
From all of us at SERC, we would like to congratulate Tom on this momentous and well-deserved achievement.
